Scam alert Recently Boardsi reached out to me here. It had a lot of red flags given that board members are not chosen this way at all, not to mention the unlikelihood that cold calling people on LinkedIn is going to have any decent leads for appointing board members. But hey, decided to take the call anyway, mostly out of curiosity. It's even worse than I imagined. They want a "deposit" from the experts they onboard. This is like the 3rd scammer to approach me this way over LinkedIn with offers like this. But this is the first to do it via a sponsored messaging system. Can't believe Linkedin has so little oversight into their advertisers that they are taking money to promote scammers.
